Halo Infinite PC system requirements updated with more specs, still as demanding as before

Microsoft recently surprised everybody by announcing during yesterday's Xbox 20th anniversary stream that the free-to-play multiplayer component of the upcoming Halo Infinite has officially launched early in Beta. With the announcement, the developers also revealed more specs for the PC version of Halo Infinite (and, by extension, also for Halo Infinite Multiplayer) offering a wider range of hardware.

Unfortunately, for those hoping the Halo Infinite PC specs would have been lowered a tad, they're still just as demanding before. It remains to be seen what performance and quality expectations there are for each spec tier, but so far lower-end players might have to do some graphical setting juggling to find decent performance.

But with that said, let's take a look at the official Halo Infinite system requirements...

Halo Infinite Low (minimum) system requirements

Halo Infinite Medium system requirements

Halo Infinite High (recommended) system requirements

Halo Infinite Ultra system requirements

For the Halo Infinite recommended system requirements you will need either an RTX 2070 or RX 5700 XT graphics card along with a Core i7-9700K or Ryzen 3700X processor. RAM required is 16GB, which should hopefully then deliver 60fps performance at 1080p resolution on High graphics settings.

Halo Infinite will need at least a GTX 1050 Ti or RX 570 GPU coupled with either a Core i5-4440 or Ryzen 5 1600 CPU in order to meet the minimum system requirements, hopefully delivering 60fps performance at 1080p resolution on Low graphics settings. Minimum 8GB of system memory is needed.

Looking over all the specs above, Halo Infinite will require around a 3 year old PC in order to run at the recommended settings.

As ever, remember you can always check out how well your PC can run the Halo Infinite System Requirements here, where you can check benchmarks and performance from other users. Compare your graphics card to the Halo Infinite GPU benchmark chart and we also have a Halo Infinite Frames Per Second system performance chart for you to check.

Can you tell me about CPU usage while gaming? My CPU usage is weird in this game. On medium settings it is 75-90% but drops to 22-35% on high, which is very weird indeed. It can't be my CPU that is the problem, as it also happens to a cousin of mine running on an Acer Predator Helios laptop with i5-8300H and GTX 1060M i.e. the problem is reproduced on both Intel and AMD CPUs.

Not happy with the performance so far. Running 1080p all low settings and getting only about 130fps on average with drops to 100s. I would appreciate even lower settings for those who are more comfortable in the higher fps zone like me.

i think i will commit suicide, it works on phenom ii x4 955, gtx 960 4gb, 1080p and low settings, how, i don’t know, 45 frames fixed

I've managed to get the game working perfectly smooth on my son's laptop albeit at low settings. The laptop has a GTX 1050 with only 3GB of VRAM.

I've seen people running this on Nvidia MX350 and MX450, which are 2 GB GPUs (albeit on low settings at 720p and 900p only respectively). If this game can run on MX350, then it should run on even the Radeon Vega 7 iGPU as well (but at like low settings on 1280x720).

I forgot to add to my last post that the game is running at only 900p but still looks surprisingly good on-screen.

Yeah im using a ryzen 7 1700x and a gtx 1070 it autodetected me to low.. but i can run high and ultra on 2560x1080p and 60fps is solid... sooo.. hmm some people had issues with the 1660 tho on low... weird.. wonder what the main choke is? also running it on a m.2

Some guy I met recently at an Acer service centre (had taken laptop in for some repairs after a drop) said he runs this game on high settings and 70-90 fps on an Acer Nitro 5 or 7 laptop with a Ryzen 7 5800H and RTX 3060M (this @ 2560x1440 resolution). But on low settings (which is what it auto-detected for him when he first started up the game) he gets only 50 fps. Something is very wrong here.

Outside the ultra requirements the rest are pretty good.

Optimization is still terrible. My GTX 1060 6Gb struggles to pull off stable 60fps with everything on low. That being said, core gameplay was fun from what little I managed to play, but everything else ranges from not good to downright bad.. 343 Industries - We take 3 steps forward and 43 back!

What? My GTX 1650 Mobile is weaker and manages 60 fps steady on medium at 1080p. A friend if mine with RX580 manages the same on medium-high at 1080p. And then you have a guy below stating he manages 72 fps steady on a GTX 1060.

I have same card and I've got no problem running this. For better fps, in settings set minimum and maximum fps to 60 or 72, that helped me run it smoothly.

Doesn't that enable resolution scaling? Looks terrible on my screen since I have a 32'' 4K monitor for work.

That's why your performance is bad.... trying to play at 4k with a 1060.

Lol, sorry, forgot to mention that I'm playing on 1080p. :D Which is why I'm quite disappointed with the optimization of the game...

You are actually right, I didn't notice slight blurriness when I turned min-max fps setting on. Now I see that it scales resolution down but with that setting on I can get smooth 100 fps

If GTX 1650 GDDR6 Mobile (can run this game at 60 fps on medium settings @ 1920x1080, low AA, no motion blur (disabling it seems to give a small fps boost in this game), then GTX 1660 or 1660 Ti desktop should manage high settings @ 1920x1080 with some settings turned down (like low AA and no motion blur).

Those recommended specs seem a bit high... I run it on med-high settings on 72fps (capped) with no dips.

Yup. RTX 2070 should manage max settings on 1080p easily considering even the bloody GTX 1650 Mobile can squeeze out 30-46 fps on all high settings.
