You should be able to play it on high for 1080p since the recommend specs said on the Epic Store says for 1440p.

I guess you haven't seen that for Intel's side is a 3rd gen i7 while for AMD it is a R3 3100 instead meaning for an old i7 you'd spend like 70$ for it over a 3rd gen Ryzen CPU that is not even in stock anymore.
Also people could build a system using a i3 10100 for this game with a GTX 1080/RTX 2060 Super and pretty much max out the game at 1440p while for AMD you'd be able to buy a R5 3600 and would need a RX 5700/6600 XT to be able to do the same thing.

They'll probably change in the future, if you look at all the effects the game has and REALLY LOOK at the graphics, seems fishy a 6870 1GB can run it.
